NAIL SURGERY

Nail surgery (Partial/total Nail Avulsion Surgery) is a common procedure performed by our podiatrists.

 

It is effective in treating an ingrown toenail if conservative treatment has been unsuccessful or if you have had multiple ingrown/infected nails in the past.

This surgery is a minor procedure performed in our rooms under local anesthetic.

 

The offending nail edge is removed and we apply phenol to the nail bed to prevent the nail from re-growing offering a permanent solution to your ingrown toenail. 

 

There is usually very minimal pain after the procedure and recovery time is quick.
