ORTHOTICS

Foot orthotics are prescribed by podiatrists to alter forces and loads that contribute to foot and leg injuries.

Load management is an integral component of injury rehabilitation and orthotics can play an important role.

Foot orthotics are specifically prescribed to reduce loads in injured tissues and can be manufactured out of a variety of materials to ensure they are comfortable and fit well into footwear.

Foot orthotics are often only a part of your management plan, we usually use them in conjunction with other modalities including stretches, functional exercises, foot mobilization therapy, dry needling, shockwave therapy, and footwear modifications.

We use Melbourne-based, Footwork Podiatric Laboratory (http://www.footwork.com.au/) to design and manufacture the orthotics we prescribe.

They use the latest digital and CAD milling technology to produce the most accurate and comfortable orthotic product on the market.

We understand the importance of orthotics being comfortable and fitting your foot correctly.

To ensure we capture the unique shape and contour of your foot we use state-of-the-art 3D scanners.

We have partnered with Footwork Podiatric Laboratory which is one of Australia’s leading orthotic laboratories to design and produce the orthotics we prescribe.
