Nervous System Health
The nervous system directs our body’s reactions to the world and also controls most of our internal functions, everything from muscle movement and blood vessel dilation to complex learning, memories, and emotions.
Steven Hayes (the co-developer of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) defines psychological flexibility as the ability to ‘make contact with experience in the present moment fully and without defence’.
Appreciation
Appreciation is at the core of all healthy relationships, as feeling genuinely appreciated lifts people up and makes us feel seen.
According to Professor Amy Edmondson, Psychological Safety is “the sense that we can share our feelings, beliefs, and experiences openly at work without fear of retribution, loss of status, or punishment”, and operates as a group-level experience.

Self-compassion is simply the process of turning compassion inward. It involves noticing when we are having a hard time, and responding to our pain with kindness and care, just as you would when supporting a close friend.
